"Music For People Who Been Wrong(Ed)" is the love child of Buddy Holly and Joey Ramone. It combines a Rockabilly beat, Punk guitars, with a little Blues thrown in to create a sound unique to itself that's neither past nor present. "Wrong(Ed)" jumps in your face from the start and doesn't let go until it apologies for being so rough with it's soothing cover of Lou Reed's "Sunday Morning." With its up tempo beat and dark undertones, one can easily imagine any one of the tracks from "Wrong(ed)" being included on a Quentin Terrintino movie soundtrack. The darkest song on the CD, "Be Ready When He Comes," is about the second coming of Christ, but the mood is so eerie it makes you feel like Jesus is the Bogie Man coming to steal you away in the night. The energy definitely comes through on this CD, and I can only imagine the only thing better than having "Music For People Who Been Wrong(Ed)" at your next party would be having Richard James & The Special Riders there themselves. - Vexar Entertainment, Memphis, TN 5/15/07 |
