Supplies

1) Pencil

2) Ruler

3) X-acto knife

4) plastic cement

5) 1qty 14" x .100" diameter plain styrene rod - Product #213 - Approx. $2.99 for package of 5qty

6) 1qty 14" x 1/4" diameter plain styrene round tubing - Product #228 - Approx. $2.99 for package of 3qty

7) 1qty 14" x 3/8" diameter plain styrene round tubing - Product #226 - Approx. $2.99 for package of 4qty

8) 1 qty 6" x 12" black styrene sheet - Product #9080 - Approx. $3.49

9) 1qty 14" x .125" diameter plain styrene square strips - Product #252 - Approx. $2.99 for package of 3qty

10) Drill w/ 1 1/2" & 1" hole saw bits

11) Sandpaper

Assembly

The Bench

1) Cut 1qty 1" square and 1qty 1" x 1 12" rectangle from the black styrene.

2) Cut the square strips into 1 qty 3/4" piece, 2qty 1 1/4" pieces, 1qty 2" piece, & 2 qty 2 1/2" pieces.

3) Glue the 2" square tube centered under the black styrene pieces.

4) Glue 1qty 1 1/4 piece horizontally across that piece forming a "T".

5) Glue the 3/4" piece to the other 1 1/4" piece forming a "T". Then glue that vertically to the other end of the above piece forming the front leg.

6) Glue the 2qty 2 1/2" pieces to the other end of the above piece forming the other legs and bar support.

7) Cut 2qty 1/8" pieces from the 3/8" round tubing. Cut them in half vertically and glue to the top of the bar supports to hold the bar.

The Bar

1) Cut the .100" rod to 5".

2) Cut the 3/8" round tube to 2 qty 3/4" pieces.

3) Cut the 1/4" round tube to 2qty 1/8" pieces.

4) Glue the 2qty 1/8" pieces to the ends of the 2qty 3/4" pieces.

5) Apply glue to the ends of the 5" rod and slide the 3/4" pieces over the ends.

6) Use the drill and hole saw bits to cut different size round disks to use as weights from the black styrene.
